Mary Portas is coming back to channel 4 with a brand new series where she looks to help small independent shops struggling in these turbulent times.
She wants to hear from any type of business who want to become a success but are currently struggling. You would be a fool not to apply for this as you will be getting advice from the UK’s leading industry expert.

Kylie Minogue and Vs. Magazine have kindly let us into her room.
This gorgeous exclusive short film, Come Into My Room, shows Kylie looking absolutely stunning in some beautiful high end fashion. Ms Minogue sure does still have it and remains one of the most popular cover girls around.
Compare The Market have have had much success from their Compare The Meerkat campaign and have just released their latest ad featuring Aleksandr and Sergei.
Here is what Aleksandr had to say:
In my brand new telebox commercial Sergei and I make visit to Mr Barry Greendale at supermarket, or as some confused people call it, supermeerkat. He was smart cookie and buy insurance through comparethemarket.com, so we make special visits to give him gift from the villagers of Meerkovo for know the difference.
When we present him with toy he look slightly disappoint, but I think this because we give him Sergei toy, he was probably hope for Aleksandr toy. We think Mr Greendale must be very healthy man as he have his very own treadmill at work desk! He even let us have a go.

Here at Highmore PR we have always understood the importance of Bloggers in todays high paced, globally connected information highway. With the rise of Social Media helping play a huge part in instant news and views, the fashion world has embraced and is using this information now more than ever. Designers and brands are able to obtain instant feedback of their work helping them know if they are doing the right thing for their market.
We were very happy to see when passing through checkin at London Fashion Week that there was a section setup for Bloggers. They also had an area where they could upload their pictures and get online throughout the day, a standard setup for most press.
Check out this report from the BBC who have also picked up on this very important shift in view:
As you would have heard from the report, over 50% of the press at London Fashion Week this year were Bloggers – amazing!
With bloggers having access to HD video recorders, cameras and recording equipment, now available at very reasonable prices, the quality of reports from a lot of the bloggers have been amazing and to a very professional standard giving the every day news and press a run for their money.
We support and hope that the future for bloggers continues to grow and that other industries also continue to recognise and utilise bloggers for the good of everyone. It is, after all, the consumers view that counts for brands.
Highmore PR attended the opening day of London Fashion Week 2011 yesterday at Somerset House. There was a very exciting buzz in the air as the as attendees met one another, mingled and networked while waiting for Paul Costelloe to kick off the first of the catwalk shows.
We met a lot of amazing people, one of them being Emmanuel Ray, winner of “Fashion Icon of the Year 2011″ at the Fashions Finest Awards. He took us along to the amazing Caroline Charles catwalk show, where you will often spot Emmanuel, with a front seat view.
Caroline had some amazing designs and put on a very clean and simple show which was enjoyed by everyone. Check out the beautiful designs in the video below:
We then went on to check out Orla Kiely and her live model exhibition space and film. She had some amazing designs and the short film was fantastic:
The day continued to be amazing and we hope that everyone involved had an amazing day, we’re sure they did. So that’s it, London Fashion Week is off to an amazing start. Here are a few more pictures from the day, and here is to what promises to be an amazing week!
John Galliano has escaped jail after being charged with anti-Semitic abuse due to yelling racist insults at people in a restaurant last year. The British designer was fired as Dior’s chief designer due to his behaviour. Galliano was found guilty of “‘casting public insults based on origin, religious affiliation or ethnicity” and fined £5,300. The court also ordered him to pay $23,200 in court fees and give each victim a “symbolic” Euro in damages.
So how does he go about repairing his reputation? He is going to need to keep a very low profile for a while and work his way back up to the top slowly. He will no doubt have racial equality groups voicing their opinion about the rather mild punishment and the press will also latch on to this. He is going to have to come forward with a very sincere apology without a doubt.
Lexis PR has been hired by Comic Relief to help with launch of a new range of Monkey merchandise.
Monkey is well known for appearing in the PG tips adverts along side Johnny Vegas and has become very popular indeed. The monkey was actually owned by advertising agency Mother, but after a legal dispute between them and ITV Digital, in 2003 both parties agreed to donate the IP rights to Comic Relief.
Lexis’ role will be to create awareness for the new products in the lead up to Christmas which include posters, mugs, greeting cards and of course Monkey teddy bears.
